A must-see for about 2 hours and a half, it is one of the most visited places in the city.
We will go up through the Alcazaba (that is why we recommend visiting it next to the fortress). It was built to protect it in the fourteenth century, it gets its name from a lighthouse that was at its peak (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it was not until the Arab period with Yusuf I in 1340 that it became a fortress.
Be sure to enjoy this place from where you can see the entire city of Malaga and the sea.
