It is a building of the eighteenth century originally intended for the needs of port traffic as Atarazana, for being in front of the sea. Subsequently it has gone through different functions such as Tobacco Factory, Provincial Council, even made the function of hotel during the nineteenth century, when high society had nowhere to stay, even Queen Elizabeth II slept in it…

Until finally becoming the city’s Museum of Fine Arts in 2016.
