Torre del Oro

This tower is a symbol of our city, so we will meet at its entrance and for approximately 1 hour and a half we will visit it until we reach the top.

The Torre del Oro is a watchtower located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir River, next to the bullring of the Real Maestranza. Its height is 36 meters. Possibly its name in reference to its golden glow that was reflected on the river. Inside is the Naval Museum of Seville.

Its main function was to close the passage to the sandy area from the river by forming a wall next to its neighboring Torre de la Plata, thus defending the palace of the Alcázar.
